Our channel has over 18 million subscribers, tens of millions of views per episode and is still growing strong. Our biggest IP; Digital Circus, has amassed over 350 million views on the pilot alone and we have a lot more still to come.

With multiple active and upcoming series, tens of millions of views per release, and a rapidly growing audience base, Glitch operates at the intersection of storytelling, digital media, and creator-led entertainment.

Job information 

The Head of Sales & Retail will build and scale Glitch’s sales, retail, and e-commerce ecosystem across all product categories — including plush, collectibles, apparel, books, and more. 

This role will lead the company’s commercial rollout into major retailers, while also developing innovative direct-to-consumer and experiential retail strategies that connect fans around the world to Glitch IPs.

You’ll need a deep understanding of both retail and online sales ecosystems, with a systems-focused mindset and a commitment to both data-driven and customer behaviour based solutions. This role requires connecting Glitch’s marketing, product, and brand efforts to drive demand and engagement across all channels — from traditional retail partnerships to e-commerce platforms. You’ll be responsible for enhancing and optimizing our current online systems while expanding our retail footprint and ensuring every touchpoint converts fan interest into measurable growth.

This role will see you working closely with the COO as well as other commercial heads to develop an extensive strategy to both expand the sales reach of the company as well as use data to optimise decision making.

Your duties will include:

Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a multi-channel sales strategy across wholesale, specialty, independents, e-commerce, and events.
  • Build and manage the sales department and lead Glitch’s global retail expansion.
  • Oversee all aspects of sales and operation planning, including forecasting, pricing, margin management, and sales analytics.
  • Build new retail partnerships with major retail brands and manage existing relationships with external partners.
  • Lead negotiations, account management, and retailer collaboration to maximize distribution and sell-through.
  • Develop roadmaps and timelines for product category, territory, and sales channel expansions in line with the wider company strategy and available resources.
  • Represent Glitch at trade shows and industry events, building strong industry and partner relationships.
  • Partner with the People and Culture team to maintain appropriate headcount for the Sales department in line with company growth and goals. 

E-Commerce & DTC Operations

  • Oversee direct-to-consumer and marketplace performance across Shopify, Amazon, and other digital storefronts.
  • Create guidelines and holistic strategies that create consistency between our catalogue, campaigns, pricing, and merchandising.
  • Identify opportunities in existing portfolios for campaigns, product releases, and sales periods to reduce cannibalisation and promote revenue maximisation.
  • Lead the sales team to execute DTC/retail sales campaigns in collaboration with our Marketing team. 
  • Guide the e-commerce and website team in digital storefront best practices to improve customer satisfaction and conversion rates.

Retail and Physical Operations

  • Establish retail operation and relationship frameworks that lead to optimised pricing, quantities, and catalogue offerings for each unique retailer, territory, and demographic.
  • Strengthen relationships with key retailers through strategic promotional partnerships and bespoke catalogue offerings. 
  • Open new retail partnerships, with a focus on big-box chains and new territories such as LatAm and Europe.
  • Design and scale retail activations such as pop-ups, conventions, vending machines, and flagship experiences.

Product & Commercial Strategy

  • Advise on product exclusivity and scarcity strategies to build collector behavior and fandom-driven demand.
  • Drive a culture of data-informed decision making, using internal sales analytics to drive further growth.
  • Lead the development of systems that ensure the efficient and easy analysis of sales data and decision making.
  • Lead the licensing team in identifying new opportunities and ensuring licensed products do not compete with internally sourced items.

A successful candidate will have:

  • 8–12 years of experience in consumer products, toy, or pop-culture retail industries.
  • Proven experience selling to major U.S. retailers and managing global distributor networks.
  • Deep understanding of fandom, collectibles, and entertainment IP ecosystems.
    Strong commercial instincts across pricing, forecasting, and margin optimization.
    Track record of building and scaling sales operations in fast-paced or startup environments.
  • A startup-builder mentality — hands-on, strategic, and ready to scale fast.
