Head of Marketing
About Us
Glitch Productions is an independent animation studio based in Australia making original, long-form animated shows distributed on YouTube. Our channel has over 22 million subscribers, tens of millions of views per episode, and is still growing strong. Our studio is filled with incredibly talented and passionate artists determined to change the way animation is produced and treated in the industry.
One of our latest IPs, The Amazing Digital Circus, has amassed over 400 million views on its pilot alone, and we have a lot more still to come.
Role Overview
The Head of Marketing will lead Glitch Productions' marketing function across our growing portfolio of original IP, including Murder Drones, The Amazing Digital Circus, Gaslight District, Knights of Guinevere, and many more to come.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for translating Glitch's overall marketing strategy into a high-performing, scalable global marketing function.
You will lead the marketing team, build its capabilities and infrastructure, oversee performance, and ensure the function can effectively support an increasingly large portfolio of shows, products and franchises.
A core focus of the role will be advancing Glitch's capabilities in advertising, audience analytics, CRM, lifecycle marketing and loyalty. With an enormous global audience already engaging with our IP, we want to become significantly more sophisticated in how we understand, reach, grow and retain that audience.
You will work closely with our Marketing Director, who leads campaign, content and creative marketing. Together, you will ensure major launches and ongoing campaigns combine strong creative execution with effective distribution, audience targeting, measurement and continuous optimisation.
You will also be responsible for building the team, systems, processes and operating structure required for Glitch's marketing function to scale globally.
This role is ideal for a senior marketing leader who combines strong commercial and analytical instincts with an understanding of entertainment, fandom and creative marketing, and who knows how to turn ambitious marketing strategy into an exceptionally capable marketing organisation

- Advance our advertising capability: Build and oversee a sophisticated global paid media capability across our shows, products and franchises, including channel strategy, audience targeting, experimentation, retargeting, optimisation and measurement.
- Advance our marketing analytics: Build the analytics and measurement capability required to understand audience behaviour, campaign effectiveness and marketing ROI, turning data into actionable recommendations for the CMO and broader business.
- Build our loyalty and lifecycle ecosystem: Lead the development and ongoing performance of Glitch's CRM, loyalty and lifecycle marketing capabilities, including segmentation, email, membership, rewards, personalisation, retention and win-back.
- Partner with the Marketing Director: Work closely with the Marketing Director, who leads campaign, content and creative marketing, ensuring campaigns are effectively planned, resourced, distributed, measured and optimised.
- Oversee marketing performance: Establish clear KPIs and reporting across the marketing function, identify performance opportunities and continually improve marketing effectiveness.
- Own the marketing operating plan: Develop the 1–2 year roadmap for building the capabilities, people and infrastructure required to deliver the CMO's marketing strategy.
- Own the marketing budget: Manage marketing expenditure and recommend resource allocation across advertising, campaigns, content, growth, PR, loyalty and other marketing activities.
- Build scalable marketing infrastructure: Develop the systems, data, processes, workflows and operating rhythms required for the marketing organisation to scale, working closely with Business Operations.
- Drive cross-functional execution: Partner with Brand, Consumer Products, Sales, Licensing, Events, Production, Creative and other teams to ensure marketing priorities are executed effectively across the company.
