Job Information: 

Glitch Productions is looking for an experienced manager to join our consumer products team, working specifically with our figurines and 3D product design teams. The role will see you work closely with the Head of Consumer Products, as well as your fellow merchandise managers and logistics managers to lead a team of highly skilled artists in the creation of our best-selling figurine product lines: Animatez and Animiniz. This is a fast-paced and exciting position that allows you to use both your creative and logical skills as you oversee every stage of the creation of our figures, from product development to fulfilment. Your duties will include:

  • Managing the schedules and priorities of the figurine product team, including several developers, designers, modellers, and external contractors in order to meet release dates and quality standards.
  • Providing the first round of quality assurance on submitted models to ensure they meet requirements specified in design briefs and concept art.
  • Translating and communicating strategies and goals from the Head of Consumer Products into actionable tasks, briefs, and design documents to be disseminated to the wider team.
  • Coordinating with our manufacturer to solve problems and answer questions related to the production of figurines and statues.
  • Gathering resources, design files, art bibles, and concept art for use by our designers in their creations.

A successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years working in figure design, development, and/or manufacturing industry.
  • 2+ years experience in a leadership or management position.
  • An understanding of the figurine development cycle and 3D art.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a big advantage.
  • A detail oriented mind along with an eye for good visuals and aesthetics.

Bonus Skills:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and time management skills.
  • An understanding or experience with the arts, animation, gaming, and/or ‘internet nerd’ culture.
  • Be extremely organized and have a strong work ethic.
  • Experience with 3D modelling software and workflows.
  • Experience with illustration and design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
